We love volunteers!

The Mason Arts Festival is success because of our countless volunteers. This is a fun day to help build arts programming in your community and meet new people. We have a great time.

Just click on the volunteer application form and send it into us. Our volunteers coordinator, Michelle, will be in touch soon.

We LOVE student volunteers and we are happy to write letters of community service. Be a part of a great event and bring your friends.

Mason Arts Festival collage

The Mason Arts Festival is the Mason Area Arts Council signature event. Featuring over 120 local and regional artists and performing arts, this one day event is unique to the area. Held on the grounds of the Mason Municipal Center, the Mason Arts Festival not only features booth artists outside, but transforms the inside of the building into a beautiful art gallery.

Over 200 pieces of artwork produced by the Mason City Schools is also on display in the Student Art Exhibition.

Performing artists entertain throughout the day. Children’s art activities are fun for all ages and people are encouraged to make kites and go fly with the Kite Club. The event is free to the public. Over 3000 are expected to attend. This is the Mason Area Arts Council most collaborative event.

City Gallery

The City Gallery exhibition is held during the Mason Arts Festival inside the Mason Municipal Building. This unique exhibition brings this lovely building to life with over 60 pieces of artwork. Inside, you'll also find an array of performing artists throughout the day. It is truly an experience inside the City Gallery.

Please note, that as an artist, if you showcase your work in an outside booth, you cannot display in the City Gallery exhibition.

Last year, we extended the exhibition for an additional week. We would like to extend it even longer this year... so we'll let you know about that soon. Artists, please remember, that we like to see work that has been completed in the last two years in the City Gallery exhibition.
